SPAR modifications and SWCTs are downloaded overnight every business day to ECC. It is important to note that SPAR/SWCT adjustments made on a Friday will not appear in ECC until the following Monday morning.  This becomes important near the end of a certification period when PIs should be informed that Friday’s modifications will not be available for certification over the weekend.

Effort statements that have been placed on hold cannot be certified by PIs. The certification deadline is not extended while a statement is on hold. A hold should be removed as soon as it is no longer necessary. As a courtesy, please do not remove a hold prior to contacting the person who placed the statement on hold. Statements with “On Hold” status can be monitored in three ways.

On the evening of the 3rd working day of each month, the prior monthly payroll is distributed in PRISM and downloaded to ECC the morning of the 4th working day. This process may prohibit access to ECC. The following message will be displayed at log in.  We appreciate your patience while the system finishes its processing.

 

Please provide each faculty member named as Proxy/Designee with copies of the pdf effort statements or SPAR certification templates signed by the PI as submitted with the Proxy/Designee request forms.  The named Proxy/Designee will compare the PI-signed documents to the electronic statements in ECC as support for their electronic certification.
