Cap eligible employees who received retroactive salary increases in September (non-union) or October (union) will require special treatment to the Sep-Dec SPAR to account for MCS related to the retroactive increases. Please refer to Nicole’s email for more details. Instructions for action needed to be taken are available on our website.
FY 2023 Annual Increases have been loaded to PRISM for both union (loaded Oct 1) and non-union (loaded Sept 1) employees. The salary increase for 12 month employees is effective July, 1 2022 while the increase for 8 month faculty is effective September 1, 2022. Any subsequent modification to a Cap Eligible SPAR affecting one or more CAP accounts in the months of July, August, or September (depending on the employee appointment and whether or not they are unionized) will be calculated using the employee’s new salary rate, resulting in a higher MCS. You will need to contact SPARhelp@cfo.pitt.edu to request a salary cap override. Please include a copy of the completed Cost Share Template with your request. We understand that this is a confusing topic and ask that you refer to Nicole’s email or contact SPARhelp with any questions you have.
The May-Aug 2022 certification period will open in ECC on October 5th. Be aware, on the evening of the 3rd working day of each month, the prior monthly payroll is distributed in PRISM and downloaded to ECC the morning of the 4th working day. This process may prohibit access to ECC. The following message will be displayed at log in:
