The ECC Pre-Review period opens on January 12th for hourly effort statements and January 8th for salaried effort statements. The pre-review period gives effort coordinators the opportunity to review effort statements for accuracy prior to the opening of the PI certification window.
The upcoming certification is for the winter academic term. The salaried period of performance dates will include September 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. The hourly period of performance dates will include September 1, 2024 (Biweekly Pay Period 19) through January 4, 2025 (Biweekly Pay Period 1 2025).
The 10/1/24 Uniform Guidance update affirms that voluntary uncommitted cost share cannot be included in proposal budgets unless the Notice of Funding Opportunity specifically allows it. Voluntary uncommitted cost share can now only be offered if authorized by the awarding agency. Carefully review each NOFO to see how cost share should be treated for a particular program or proposal.
